ATYPICAL: Engaging Atypical Workers in the Service Sector
First Online European Workshop Held (28-29 September 2023)
The First Online European Workshop of the "Atypical" project took place on September 28-29, 2023. This project focuses on employee involvement of atypical workers, particularly in the service sector.
Representatives from diverse organizations across Europe came together, including:
Employers associations: Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs (FPP), Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), National Union of Employers – RUZ/NUE (Slovakia), Confederación de Empresarios de Andalucía – CEA (Spain), Serbian Association of Employers– SAE/UPS (Serbia)
Trade unions: Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Serbia – CATUS (Serbia), Coalición Sindical Independiente de Trabajadores de Madrid – CSIT Union Profesional (Spain), Confederazione dei Sindacati Autonomi dei Lavoratori - CONF.S.A.L. (Italy), Unija Slobodnih Sindikata Crne Gore (Montenegro), Confederatia Nationala Sindicala Cartel Alfa (Romania)
The workshop explored important topics:
Defining atypical and traditional employment relationships
Understanding European and national legal frameworks across participating countries
The role of social dialogue in modern labor relations
Implementing the right to information and consultation for atypical workers
Opportunities and challenges in representing and protecting atypical workers' rights
By fostering collaboration between different stakeholders, the "Atypical" project aims to create a more inclusive and sustainable future for the service sector workforce.
